Revised to remove several references to underage sex. This will complete the story.
CHAPTER 8
Donald went back to play baseball the following afternoon. The relieved Joey refused to pitch to him, passing the honor to another player. Donald found that he was able to hit successfully. I enabled him to keep his eye on the ball and to begin his swing in time to make good contact. Best of all, he was able to hit a variety of pitches—inside, outside, some of which curved almost a foot. We began our work on Saturday morning having picked up all the supplies we needed at Radio Shack during the week.
Gina was conspicuously absent as I placed Donald into a trance. I would use him as I would a robot, moving his arms and fingers much faster and more effectively than he could ever hope to on his own. We began with a circuit board—4 inches by 6. I soldered a number of transistors and diodes into place. I added a capacitor and stopped for the day. I didn’t want him in this state for more than an hour at a time. I covered the board with a cloth and set it aside. Donald took the toaster apart, removing the simple controls, but leaving the panels in place. They were very similar to what I had used on Aquaria years ago.
We continued Sunday afternoon. This time Gina was here, but not in the garage with us. I made some modifications to the controls, using the darkness control to determine the approximate strength of the ray and the bread slide as the trigger. We were almost done—all we needed now was a source of carbon to use as a solar collector.
Donald asked Joey to drive him to Home Depot where he bought several Heavy Duty lantern batteries. I opened them and extracted the carbon cores, cleaning any solvents from their surfaces. I placed them in the oven and baked at 450 degrees for an hour to crystallize the carbon. I coated the cylinders with a mixture of what were common household chemicals on this planet and baked them in, again at 450 degrees. I attached them to the surface of the toaster, connected the wires, and I was done. Donald, however, had a suggestion—“How am I supposed to hold this thing? How about some handles?”
We went back to Home Depot and looked at several before selecting two and some self-tapping metal screws. I showed Donald how to take aim. He positioned the handles, drilled eight holes and secured them.
“Don’t we have to test it?”
(NO, DONALD. TRUST ME IT WILL WORK AND IF WE TEST IT THE RESULTS WILL BECOME PUBLIC. THAT WOULD BE A MISTAKE. WE WILL GO TO THE ARMY BASE ON SATURDAY. THERE WILL BE A TEST OF A NEW WEAPON SYSTEM THEN. HOWEVER, IT WILL NOT BE THE TEST THEY ARE EXPECTING. I BELIEVE GINA SHOULD REMAIN HERE. IT IS MUCH EASIER FOR ME TO PROTECT YOU THAN HER. THERE MAY BE SOME DANGER—MORE IF SHE IS THERE. WE WILL SEE HER ONCE WE ARE DONE.)
Saturday morning I placed Mrs. Dugan into a trance and had her drive us to the boundary of the base. Then I sent her home thinking that Donald was at baseball practice. Donald walked around the external fence looking for some high ground or a tree. We found a tall oak some fifty yards outside the base. From there it was about ten miles to the testing grounds. Even after climbing to the high branches Donald could not see the targets, some old vehicles, but I could. I used my “Sense” to supplement Donald’s vision. I could also sense a general announcing that the test would begin shortly. This was our cue. Donald took aim—we had discussed this several times—deciding the effect would be more dramatic if the ray walked up to the target. He picked out an old transport truck and aimed about 200 yards short. He adjusted the control for ten miles and pulled the slide down.
A bright blue column of energy burst from the toaster’s two slots. Instantaneously, it struck the sand in the target area. Donald walked the ray up to the truck and when it struck the truck disappeared. I sensed the commotion among the army brass. Donald selected another target—an old tank—with the same result. I told him we could stop. We had made our point. Soldiers were already en route to us. Donald climbed down the tree. He waited with his hands clasped behind his head. He was taken into custody by the MP’s and driven to the general’s office.
Donald was respectful and polite as always. “General Tobin, I would appreciate the opportunity to speak to you privately, and, please don’t play with that. It’s dangerous.” Too late, General Tobin had pulled the slide. The beam disintegrated the ceilings and floors all the way through the roof. There was a gaping hole about ten feet wide running up the building. I decided that I had to take control. I placed Donald into a trance and spoke: GENERAL, DONALD TRIED TO TELL YOU. NOW, WILL YOU PLEASE LISTEN TO ME? I HAVE NEUTRALIZED YOUR GUARDS. IF YOU CHECK THEM YOU WILL SEE THAT THEY ARE IN A TRANCE, UNABLE TO HEAR OR SPEAK OR MOVE. MY WORDS ARE FOR YOU ALONE.
AS YOU MIGHT GUESS I AM NOT NATIVE TO THIS PLANET. I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A PLANET MORE THAN THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND LIGHT YEARS AWAY. I WAS NOT A CRIMINAL, BUT A LEADING SCIENTIST. THIS BOY, DONALD DUGAN, IS MY HOST. HE KNOWS OF MY EXISTENCE AND HAS GRACIOUSLY AGREED TO MY PRESENCE. I BUILT THIS DEVICE JUST AS I BUILT SEVERAL ON MY PLANET TO REPEL INVADERS. MY PLANETARY COUNCIL REFUSED TO BELIEVE ME, BUT I HOPE YOU WILL.
I SEE YOU ARE SKEPTICAL, BUT YOUR EYES AND EARS DO NOT DECEIVE YOU. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PLANETS WITH INTELLIGENT LIFE, MOST FAR MORE ADVANCED THAN EARTH. I COME TO WARN YOU ABOUT THE GORKONS. THEY INVADED MY PLANET AND ENSLAVED THE INHABITANTS BECAUSE THE COUNCIL DID NOT PREPARE. MY ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT EARTH WILL DEFEAT THE GORKONS, BUT TO DO SO YOU WILL HAVE TO USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND TENS IF NOT HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF EARTHLINGS WILL PERISH IN THE FIGHT. I AM HERE TO GIVE THIS INVENTION TO YOU FOR YOUR DEFENSE. HOWEVER, THERE ARE CONDITIONS—I WILL CONSTRUCT THE CONTROLS USING DONALD AS I HAVE WITH THIS TOASTER AND THEY WILL SELF DESTRUCT THIRTY DAYS AFTER THEIR FIRST AND ONLY USE. I CANNOT ALLOW SUCH A WEAPON TO EXIST ANY LONGER THAN NECESSARY. IT IS MUCH TOO DANGEROUS, AS YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN. NOW YOU WILL WANT TO TAKE DONALD TO SEE YOUR PRESIDENT. PLEASE PICK UP HIS GIRLFRIEND, GINA PROVANO. SHE WILL HELP TO KEEP DONALD CALM AND RELAXED. DO IT NOW.
General Tobin made several phone calls as I took Donald and the guards from their trances. All were unharmed and completely normal. Two hours later we were on our way to Washington. We met with the President in the Oval Office before being transported to Quantico for another demo of the ray. Donald handled it easily, explaining that this prototype had been designed to give eight and only eight blasts before self destruction. He was questioned on how it worked—he had no idea. What was the power source? No idea. Finally, frustrated he begged me to take over. I agreed: MR. PRESIDENT, GENERALS, IT IS A PLEASURE. I AM SURE THAT GENERAL TOBIN HAS INFORMED YOU OF MY PRESENCE. I ASSURE YOU THAT I AM REAL AND THAT I AM INDEED AN ALIEN. NO, I AM NOT GREEN, BUT I AM LITTLE—ABOUT THE SIZE OF AN ANT, BUT WITH A BODY SIMILAR TO AN OCTOPUS UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. I EXIST WITH DONALD’S KNOWLEDGE AND PERMISSION ON THE SURFACE OF HIS BRAIN. YOUR MOST ADVANCED SCIENCES WERE TAUGHT IN OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS BEFORE THE GORKONS CONQUERED. I ESCAPED JUST PRIOR TO THE INVASION.
I answered a number of questions, but not about the device. YOU MAY HAVE YOUR BEST SCIENTISTS EXAMINE IT. I ASSURE YOU OF ONE THING—THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT IT WILL NOT WORK, BUT YOU WILL KNOW DIFFERENTLY. NOW, HOW ABOUT A DEMONSTRATION?
We went up in a helicopter and identified a number of targets at ranges of three, five, and twelve miles. Donald made the necessary adjustments each time and pulled the slide. The blue ray shot out the open helicopter door in an instant and the target vehicles disappeared in that same instant. I explained that this was but a crude example of what could be done. My original cannons could shoot for well in excess of a hundred million miles. We should be able to use a series of geosynchronous satellites to eliminate the Gorkon fleet long before they reached Mars.
I DO THIS FOR TWO REASONS–FIRST, TO SAVE EARTH AND ITS PEOPLE—I HAVE GROWN QUITE FOND OF YOU–AND SECOND, TO FREE MY PLANET. I CAN NEVER RETURN, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO FREE THEM FROM THE YOKE OF THE GORKONS. WITHOUT THEIR FLEET THE ROBOTS IN COMMAND WILL CEASE TO OPERATE. The discussion went on for several days. There were issues of trust and diplomacy to be discussed and resolved. I explained again that I believed the Earth would prevail, but at the expense of more than 100,000,000 people. That did the trick. We would build the satellites.
There was plenty of time and building the high-energy ray cannons would be the simplest and quickest part of the venture. The government announced as a cover that it was upgrading the Global Positioning System satellites with the hope of completing at least twenty-four during the first year. In reality these new satellites would also house the ray cannons and the much needed tracking equipment. I computed that forty, properly placed, could cover the entire earth. We were returned to Donald’s and Gina’s homes from our “field trip” to complete the school year. Then we would work in earnest.
Donald played baseball and his experience paralleled football and basketball. He began the year on the JV and was moved up to the Varsity once he had demonstrated his prowess. In four JV games Donald had produced two home runs and a triple, getting ten hits in sixteen at bats. He had also fielded flawlessly. He liked to joke that he hit a homer every time he made love with Gina who cringed at his poor attempts at humor. I attributed it to his nervousness over his role in repelling the Gorkons. Donald finished the school year with the same high grades he had achieved all year and Gina wasn’t all that far behind him. He ranked number one in his class; Gina ranked sixth.
CHAPTER 9
Now I had the opportunity to see first-hand how the government worked. We knew that everything had to be kept top secret so there was concern about involving Gina. However, I was able to insure her silence and reminded everyone that I would need a calm and well-rested Donald to develop the plans and create the controls. They finally agreed; the subterfuge began. The President had obtained special grants for both Gina and Donald, enabling them to “study” in Washington for the summer. They flew together to the capital where they transferred to a military flight to nearby Andrews Air Force Base. There the authorities tried to separate them, putting them in different barracks until General Tobin intervened. “I have it on very good authority that you’ll work much more effectively if you two are together.”
“Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.”
“You know, Donald you are not in the armed forces so you don’t have to call me ‘sir.’”
“I know that, sir, but it would be disrespectful.” General Tobin waved it off, commenting that he would see the two youngsters in the morning. They ate their meals in the Officers’ Mess. The first night they were challenged by a Lt. Colonel until he heard General Tobin behind him. “Henry, you and everyone else on this base are to consider these two as my personal guests. I will not tolerate any interference with them nor will I allow any questions. Donald’s work here is to be considered ‘Top Secret.’ Understood?”
“Yes, sir.” The General led them away to his table.
“You won’t have any more problems. Wildfire doesn’t spread as fast as word of mouth around here. By morning everyone will think you’re a Nobel Laureate, but nobody will say a word, not if they want to keep their heads. Please sit and enjoy your meal.” Most of the conversation was held by telepathy. It was the best and safest way for me to communicate with the General. After dinner Donald and Gina retired to their quarters in the married officers’ area. There was a young couple next door on one side; he was a Lieutenant. On the other side was a Captain with his family. Donald and Gina apologized in advance for the noise they were sure to create. “I’m kind of a screamer, if you know what I mean. You can count of it every night and most mornings, too.” Her remarks were received with a series of chuckles—little did they know.
They were both nervous as they went to bed. (YOU NEED TO RELAX. WE HAVE A LONG DAY AHEAD OF US TOMORROW. WE NEED TO DEVELOP THE DETAILED PLANS FIRST. THAT WILL MEAN WORKING THREE TIMES A DAY. ONCE THAT IS DONE I THINK WE SHOULD TRY TO DO ONE CONTROL BOARD EVERY DAY. I ALSO HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I DO NOT TRUST THE ARMY. THEY WILL TRY TO STEAL THE PLANS.)
(I didn’t think there were any plans) Donald interrupted.
(THEY EXIST ONLY IN MY BRAIN, BUT THE GOVERNMENT HAS ALREADY INSTALLED COVERT CAMERAS IN THE LABORATORY AND WILL TRY TO STEAL BITS AND PIECES. HOWEVER, I HAVE A FEW SURPRISES IN STORE FOR THEM—BLIND ALLEYS AND WRONG TURNS. IF THEY GIVE US TOO MUCH TROUBLE I WILL SIMPLY DESTROY THE CAMERAS AND TAPES. GOOD NIGHT, I AM GOING TO SLEEP.)
(Who are you kidding, H? You hardly ever sleep. You just want us to stop talking so we can….”)
(YOU ARE RIGHT. I DO NEED YOU RELAXED AND NOTHING RELAXES YOU BETTER THAN GINA.)
“Enough of this non-talking,” Gina complained. “C’mon, Donnie I need you.” Donald took her by the hand and led her to the bathroom. He laughed. His father would have a nightmare if he ever saw this. The plumbing was a mess; the fixtures were old and rusty. Fortunately, there was hot water in the overly small bath tub. Donald and Gina didn’t care. They planned to stand extremely close to each other, anyway. Gina washed Donald, paying special attention to his hard cock and swollen balls. With all the confusion of the past weeks they had only been able to enjoy each other once or twice a week and their need for each other became greater every day. Donald washed her next. He washed her breasts and then he washed her breasts and then he washed her breasts. Gina smiled up at him and asked, “Trying to tell me something, darling? Let’s go, I’m clean enough.” She turned the water off and stepped out onto the cracked and patched tile floor. They dried each other and walked slowly to the bed.
Gina pulled the blankets down and gently pushed Donald back, climbing on top of him and straddling his body with her legs. She moved up until her nipples were in front of his mouth. “Okay, Donnie, I know you’ve been waiting so patiently for this so here’s your chance.” He responded immediately, taking the hard wrinkled tissue into his mouth. He suckled for almost fifteen minutes while running his hands over Gina’s firm but soft body. He looked up and saw her unbridled love. Releasing her nipple he opened his mouth and kissed her. He pressed his lips against hers, their mouths open and their tongues dancing. They were experienced lovers, knowing their likes, desires, and needs with discussion entirely unnecessary. Donald’s strong hands moved up her back, pulling her very close to him, so close that they seemed to be one being, but that would come shortly when they united, cemented together by their love.
Donald pulled back slightly, “I know you want to take care of me, but right now what I need is to drive my cock into you.”
“So…why are you waiting? C’mon, Donnie I need you inside me. I need you to pound me…hard.” He flipped her over onto her back and slid between her legs. She reached for and found his organ. It was hot to the touch as it pulsed with every heartbeat. She wanted it even more now and pulled it to her slit. Gina raised her legs to accommodate him; he slid easily into her warmth. Locking her legs around his waist, she began to rock, building the friction that would bring them both the ecstasy they so eagerly sought.
They moved together slowly at first, but gaining intensity with every thrust. Before long their need won out and they raced to their orgasms. Donald reached there first, spraying Gina’s sensitive cunt with his cream, but he continued pumping her until she caught him, shaking violently as she screamed until she ran out of breath. Donald slid down and rolled onto his back. Gina moved her body onto her lover’s left side, her head resting gently on his chest. She pulled the blanket up over them as she whispered in his ear, “I love you, Donnie.”
“I love you more,” he replied, kissing her cheek. She laughed and pinched his cheek before whispering back, “I know.” She kissed his neck and they fell into a deep, deep sleep.
I woke Donald early the following morning. He and Gina used the toilet, brushed their teeth and returned to bed. This was what Gina called a “quickie.” There wasn’t a lot of kissing or touching, just raw animal lust with Gina screaming again when her orgasm overpowered her. Donald just grunted five times as he bathed her womb in his baby juice. They had just enough time to shower together and dress before the staff car picked them up for breakfast. By eight they were in the lab—right in front of the covert surveillance camera.
Gina sat off to the side while Donald took his position at the drafting table. There was an ample supply of sharpened pencils and paper as well as the standard drafting tools even though I had advised the military brass that neither would they be needed nor used. Donald would work so fast and in such an exacting way as to negate their need. (READY, DONALD?)
(I guess….)
(VERY WELL, HERE WE GO.) I placed Donald into a trance and we began work. Donald sketched at incredible speed, first with the general schematic and then with detailed blow-ups of each section. Finally, I had Donald write a list of specifications—thickness, length, composition of the ceramic material, and its temperature tolerances. In space the material would have to withstand tremendous extremes of cold and hot. My calculations showed the ray would generate more than one million degrees Fahrenheit. I stopped Donald at this point. He had done more than two days’ work in just over an hour. Gina took him home to bed–not for sex–he needed rest.
She opened the car door for him and led him into the apartment. She stripped off his clothes en route to the bedroom where she laid his exhausted body onto the bed. She joined him a few seconds later, pulled the blanket over their naked bodies and warmed him with her touch. Donald barely heard my words (GREAT WORK, DONALD) before he fell asleep. When he awoke we returned to work again.
We repeated the same schedule the next three days running and when we were done the military had a full set of plans for the high-energy electron ray cannon—everything except the control panel, the guts of the device. This was the part that would create and control the ray. Donald and I would make them, but only after he had a chance to rest. I advised General Tobin that we would continue working in another week and that he should use the time to remove all the surveillance cameras from the laboratory. He grumbled heartily, but did agree. Donald and Gina were moved to a five-star hotel in Arlington and given a credit card to cover their expenses. They spent the next week sightseeing in their nation’s capital. Gina commented several times that she was concerned for their safety.
(NOT TO WORRY, GINA I DON’T THINK WE’VE BEEN ALONE FOR TWENTY SECONDS EXCEPT FOR WHEN WE’VE BEEN IN THE HOTEL. THERE ARE TWO MILITARY INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS RIGHT OVER THERE. I RECALL SEEING THEM IN GENERAL TOBIN’S OFFICE. NO…DON’T WAVE. WE DON’T WANT TO EMBARRASS THEM.)
When the week was done Donald and I were ready to build the control units. “H…how are you going to stop them from stealing everything,” Donald asked.
(IT’S REALLY QUITE SIMPLE. THE UNITS WILL BE SEALED ONCE WE INSTALL THEM TO THE CANNONS. TAMPERING WILL RESULT IN A FEEDBACK CIRCUIT THAT WOULD BE A CATASTROPHE. THE RAY WILL TURN BACK ONTO ITSELF, DESTROYING THE CANNON AND EVERYONE WITHIN SEVERAL HUNDRED YARDS.)
(Wow, H…you really mean business.)
(I HAVE TO, GINA. THIS IS SUCH A DANGEROUS WEAPON, EVEN IN THE HANDS OF A RESPONSIBLE NATION LIKE THE UNITED STATES. HOWEVER, THERE ARE SPIES LIKE THOSE WHO STOLE THE A-BOMB AND H-BOMB PLANS. THAT WAS BAD ENOUGH, BUT THIS WOULD BE THE WORST. CAN YOU IMAGINE SOMETHING LIKE THE RAY IN THE HANDS OF TERRORISTS? I HAVE TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL. THAT IS WHY WE WILL BUILD ALL THE SKELETONS OF THE CONTROLS, WAITING UNTIL THEY ARE ON THE OPERATIONAL UNITS BEFORE COMPLETING THEM.)
(I’m glad you’re running this, H. I think we’d be lost without you.)
(WITHOUT ME YOUR PEOPLE WOULD BE CAUGHT BY SURPRISE, BUT YOU ARE THE MOST WARLIKE PLANET OF THE MORE THAN 10,000 PLANETS I HAVE STUDIED.)
(Ten thousand? How long would that take you?) It was Donald expressing his concern.
(IT TOOK ME MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED OF YOUR YEARS. I AM NOW JUST OVER 500 YEARS OLD, BUT THAT IS STILL RELATIVELY YOUNG FOR AQUARIANS. MOST OF US WOULD LIVE TO BE MORE THAN A THOUSAND OF YOUR YEARS.)
Gina looked shocked; Donald wasn’t much better. Forgetting himself, Donald spoke aloud, “Gee, I always thought thirty was old.” I laughed as well as I could, given the shortcomings of my anatomy. We walked back to the hotel and were on the job again in the morning. We began building the computers that would guide the ray. General Tobin asked for a demonstration and I agreed. Donald and I built most of the control before we were transported by military jet transport to Nevada—to a base that was hundreds of miles from nowhere. Donald finished the control and sealed it after completing the connections.
I spoke through Donald: GENERAL TOBIN, PLEASE TAKE MY WARNING EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY. SHOULD ANYONE TAMPER WITH THE CONTROL PANEL—OPEN THE COVER, PRY IT OFF, WHATEVER—THE RAY WILL BE TRIGGERED IMMEDIATELY INTO A FEEDBACK CIRCUIT THAT WILL TURN IT BACK TO ITS SOURCE. EVERYTHING…AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING WITHIN AT LEAST ONE HUNDRED YARDS WILL BE OBLITERATED. AS I TOLD YOU THIS WILL CEASE TO OPERATE THIRTY DAYS FOLLOWING THIS TEST. THE CONTROL WILL SELF-DESTRUCT, LEAVING A PILE OF USELESS CERAMIC AND SOME MELTED WIRES.
Following my directions Donald set coordinates for Pan, one of the smallest of Saturn’s moons. Once he was done we retreated a mile to a bunker for safety. Donald held Gina’s hand as we waited. Ten seconds before fire time General Tobin asked Donald if he wanted to push the trigger button. “If it’s all the same to you, sir, I’d rather you do it.” The General nodded and pushed. Now the automated system took over. Two minutes and seven seconds later the cannon fired. A bright blue beam about ten feet in diameter fired into the sky and beyond. The Hubbell telescope was trained on the area of Pan.
Traveling at the speed of light, more than 186,000 miles per second, the ray reached Saturn in one hour, eight minutes and six seconds. Pan ceased to exist; the cannon turned itself off. Everyone in the bunker stood silently until one of the scientists spoke, “Oh, my God, what a terrible weapon. No wonder we have all this security. I don’t know about anyone else here but I’m terrified. I think I need to change my underwear.” There were no other comments, but everyone else nodded. We had just witnessed the most horrific event in the history of the earth.
Switchboards all over the globe lit up with phone calls from the terrified and curious. Of course, there were no answers. Fewer than fifty people out of a total population of more than 7.1 billion knew and they were sworn to silence. The story was in the news for weeks and there was much conjecture, but few if any facts. Donald and I finished our work with two weeks to go in the summer break. He would finish the installation for each satellite just days prior to the scheduled launch.
Despite my precautions there was an accident, one in which seventy-three human beings were killed. General Tobin went to the high school and asked to see Donald and Gina. We all knew that he really wanted to talk to me. We met in a private office. He spoke first, “I don’t know where to begin, but there’s been an accident. It was those know-it-alls over at Langley—the CIA. One of their scientists figured he could work around….”
(OH NO! HOW MANY WERE KILLED?)
“Seventy-three…and the entire set of buildings; there’s nothing there but a huge hole now. Why can’t those people ever learn?”
(I AM SORRY, BUT THEY WERE WARNED. YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THAT I COME FROM A HIGHLY ADVANCED CIVILIZATION AND THAT I WAS PERHAPS THE MOST INTELLIGENT ON THE PLANET. THIS WAS, OF COURSE, BEFORE THE GORKONS. I HOPE THAT NOW WE WILL BE ABLE TO WORK MORE CLOSELY AND WITH MORE TRUST. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THOSE POOR PEOPLE HAD TO PERISH. IF IT MEANS ANYTHING, I AM SURE THAT THEY DID NOT SUFFER. DEATH WAS INSTANTANEOUS.)
We spoke for several minutes about some scheduling issues and he left. Donald and Gina returned to class. There were questions galore, but they deflected them by saying that it was something about their summer study grants. They had no idea why a general was sent. Donald had football practice that afternoon and Gina stayed to watch. It was odd to be out there without Joey. He was ready to begin his career at college.
“My folks are taking Joey up to college tomorrow. I’ll be alone all weekend. Will you come over to keep me company and…?”
“You know I will. I’m going to be alone all weekend, too. My parents are going up to New York so my dad can march in the Labor Day Parade. Then they’ll go to some big party with the plumbers’ union. I went a couple of years ago…boring! I guess it’ll just be the two…oops, three of us all weekend.”
“Not quite, Donnie, my folks will be back Monday around noon not that it will matter. They’ve known about us even before you did.” Donald kissed her, took her hand and together they began the long walk home.
CHAPTER 10
Saturday morning Mr. and Mrs. Dugan left for the big city, stopping off at Gina’s to say good-bye to Donald. He hugged his parents and kissed his mother. She was reminded of how much he had changed over the past three years. Where did the time go? They waved as Mr. Dugan drove away.
Donald turned to Gina, noticing the twinkle in her eye. “You can never get enough, can you?”
“You already know the answer to that question. Let’s go inside unless you’d like to do it in the back yard?”
“The way you scream I’d probably get arrested. I’ll settle for inside. I enjoy that big bed you have.”
“That’s a laugh, Donnie. Last night…every night…you’re all over me. We could sleep on a picnic bench, not that I’m complaining. I love the feel of your muscles. You make me so wet…see?” She placed his hand on her thigh; it was moist and she wasn’t sweating. They hadn’t done anything—not even kissed—and she was running juice. Donald grabbed her hand and together they ran into the house.
Clothes and shoes fell by the wayside as they hurried to her room. Gina stopped short and turned causing Donald to trip and fly over her head onto the bed to avoid hurting her. He was just about to yell when she took him into her mouth. “Thorry, Donnie,” she tried to speak, her mouth full of cock. Donald could only laugh. He couldn’t stay mad at Gina for even a second. Her tongue ran up and down the ultra sensitive underside of his cock. Donald arched his back, unable to control himself under Gina’s onslaught. He humped into her mouth as Gina pulled back just a bit to speak, “C’mon, Donnie, fuck my mouth. I want to taste you. I want your cum in my mouth.”
Donald gripped her head with both hands and drove his dick into her mouth and throat. His lust was powerful, but not uncontrolled. He was careful not to hurt or choke his love. His movements were rapid, but not so strong as to damage her. In addition to being in love with Gina, he also knew that this would be a long weekend. They would have plenty of time to be together—alone.
Gina continued her sucking and licking, driving Donnie wild with desire. They had made love twice last evening after school, but there was still no way he could hold out. That familiar churning in his balls signaled he was nearing Nirvana. Suddenly he could feel it—his hot slick semen racing up through his rigid cock. He grunted strongly when he shot his first river into Gina’s throat. Two seconds later another followed just as strong as the first. Five more times he blew as Gina swallowed almost every drop. The few she missed dribbled down onto her lovely smooth breasts.
Donald was panting furiously as he came down from his orgasm. “I’ll take…care…of you…in…a few…. Oh God…the things you do to me.” Gina cleaned his organ with her tongue and climbed up the bed to lie next to him.
“Don’t worry about it, darling. I’m not keeping score. You’ll take care of me plenty over the weekend.” He did, too. Donald was never a selfish lover. He loved to cum, of course, but he loved bringing Gina to orgasm every bit as much. There was something so appealing about watching her squirm and shake in ecstasy. So hard did they work for each other they were exhausted when Gina’s parents returned around noon on Monday exactly as they had planned. They took Gina and Donald out for a good meal, thinking that the kids may have eaten plenty during the weekend, but little of it would qualify as actual food. Donald stayed the night; it was fortunate that he did.
I was awake just after two the following morning; Gina and Donald were asleep in each other’s arms when I heard the telephone ring. Mr. Provano spoke for several minutes. I couldn’t hear what was said, but I could tell by the tone that something was terribly wrong. A few minutes later he knocked on the door, “Donald? Gina? Wake up. I need to speak with you.” I woke Donald; he was groggy for a few seconds before replying, “Be right there, Mr. Provano.” He pulled on a pair of gym shorts; Gina found one of his T’s. It was longer than many of her night gowns, not that she wore them very often. They opened the door and followed Mr. Provano down to the den. Donald was surprised to find Gina’s mother there seated on the couch. She had tears in her eyes as she motioned for them to join her.
Mr. Provano told them to sit while he paced for a minute. Finally, he pulled up a chair, sat, and spoke, “I’m terribly sorry. I’ve just gotten word from the Sheriff. Apparently, he went to your house. Your neighbors thought you might be with Gina. It’s taken him a while to track you down.” He hesitated for a moment before continuing, “Donald, there isn’t any good or easy way to say this. Your parents have been killed in a traffic accident. From what I understand they went to a party after the parade. They were in a cab when another vehicle ran the light and drove right into them at high speed. The police said they died instantly. Donald, I don’t know what to say to you.” He put his hand on Donald’s shoulder. It was a kind gesture, but Donald needed more. He broke down, crying terribly as he contemplated the magnitude of his loss. Gina tried to console him, but she was crying, too. I had told Donald that I would be sad when he was sad, but this was almost too much even for me.
He looked up after almost ten minutes as he gasped for breath between sobs, “What am I going to do? Where will I live? My dad’s family is all dead and my mom hasn’t spoken to her sister in Wyoming for more than ten years. I’m all alone.”
Gina’s father knelt in front of the couch next to Donald, putting his arm around his shoulders. “Gina’s mom and I think you should move in here with us. You know how much we love you. One of the members of my firm specializes in family law. I’ll have him draw up papers declaring us your guardians. Would that be okay?” Donald couldn’t speak, but he nodded. I felt terrible. There was nothing I could do to help him other than force him to sleep. Gina was what he needed now. She pulled him up and back to the bedroom.
“Gina,” her mom spoke softly, “give him your breast. It will help to relax him.” She turned to her mom and nodded before returning to her room, Donald sobbing sadly all the way. She stripped him of his shorts and dropped her T on the floor. Carefully she laid poor Donald onto the bed before joining him under the blankets.
“Can you do anything for him, H? He needs your help now as much as ever.”
YES, GINA I BELIEVE I CAN. I HAVE BEGUN TO INCREASE HIS PRODUCTION OF SEROTONIN. IT SHOULD HELP DONALD TO SLEEP, AND….
I was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door and Gina’s mom asked, “Gina? Who’re you talking to? I brought Donald a Valium. I think it will help him.”
(“What do you think, H? What should I do?”)
(I DO NOT BELIEVE HE WILL NEED THE DRUG. TELL YOUR MOTHER YOU WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TOMORROW AT BREAKFAST.)
“Mom, I don’t think he’ll need the Valium and I promise to explain everything at breakfast, okay?”
“I guess…oh, your dad says the two of you will stay home from school for a few days. He’ll phone them and explain. Good night, dear. Good night, Donald.” He barely heard between the sobs. Gina led his mouth to her nipple; he suckled for a few minutes before I made him sleep. Gina joined him, but many minutes later.
She led Donald to breakfast around nine; they were dressed for school even though they weren’t going. His eyes were red and puffy, but he had stopped crying. We were just in time to hear the end of Mr. Provano’s conversation with the principal, “Yes, that’s right. Donald will be staying here with us. I expect we will become his guardians. I’ll be in later in the week with the temporary papers. Thank you. Yes, I’ll tell him. Good bye.”
He turned just in time to see Gina and Donald sit at the table. “Mr. Steinfeld sends his condolences, Donald. After breakfast I think we should see Frank. He’s the family law expert I told you about last night. I phoned him around 7:30. Then we will need to make arrangements for your parents and get your stuff over here. We think you and Gina should move into Joey’s room. It’s bigger and we can add another closet for your stuff easily.”
Gina gripped Donald’s hand tightly as she began, “Mom…Dad,” Gina took a deep breath. “I have something to explain to you, but I don’t really know where or how to begin.”
“I do,” Donald interrupted. He caressed Gina’s face and kissed her cheek. “This is my story and I guess I should be the one to tell it. Thanks though, Gina, for trying to take care of me. That’s one of the reasons why I love you.
“It all began back when I was in seventh grade. I was on track to becoming a total loser. I had tried smoking, beer, and pot then one day everything changed…as though someone was watching over me—helping me make the right decisions. I remember the exact day; I was playing basketball, or trying to, at Turner Park. I chased a loose ball into the bushes and when I came out I thought I had been bitten by a tick. But, it wasn’t a tick—it was something else entirely. I might never have found out what if Joey hadn’t hit me in the head last March. The MRI showed something on my brain…something that had cushioned the blow and saved me from a possible concussion, or worse.
“I learned that day that I had been invaded by an alien being—that “tick” bite. It was that alien who had guided me and helped me all that time. He volunteered to leave me, but I decided to have him stay and he’s helped me ever since. It turned out to be a good decision because, well…I think ‘H’ should explain now. He’ll speak using my mouth, but you’ll know it isn’t me. Okay, H?”
YES, DONALD, IT IS DEFINITELY OKAY. IT IS A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU AT LAST. I HAVE FOUND GINA TO BE A MOST ENJOYABLE AND WONDERFUL YOUNG WOMAN. NOW, I AM SURE YOU THINK THAT DONALD IS HAVING DELUSIONS SO HERE IS A LITTLE TEST. IT WORKED FOR GENERAL TOBIN OF YOUR ARMY SO IT SHOULD WORK FOR YOU. I AM GOING TO FREEZE YOUR HAND TO THE TABLE. DO NOT WORRY. I WILL NOT HARM YOU IN ANY WAY. PLEASE LIFT YOUR RIGHT HAND AND PLACE IT ONTO THE TABLE. GOOD, THANK YOU. NOW, TRY TO LIFT IT.
They tried for several minutes without success until H released them. THAT IS ONLY ONE OF MY SKILLS. I HAVE MANY MORE, BUT DONALD WANTS ME TO EXPLAIN HOW WE ARE GOING TO SAVE THE EARTH. WHILE YOU THOUGHT DONALD AND GINA WERE IN WASHINGTON SOMETHING SPECIAL WAS HAPPENING. WORKING TOGETHER THIS PAST SUMMER WE HAVE CREATED A RAY CANNON THAT WILL SAVE YOUR PLANET FROM INVADERS FROM MY GALAXY. DO YOU RECALL READING ABOUT A BLUE PHENOMENON ABOUT A MONTH AGO?
“Not only did I read about it, I actually saw it,” Mr. Provano replied.
DONALD BUILT THAT WEAPON UNDER MY GUIDANCE. WE BUILT THE FIRST ONE IN HIS PARENTS’ GARAGE AS A DEMONSTRATOR FOR YOUR ARMED FORCES USING A COMMON TOASTER. I HAVE SENSED THAT AN ENEMY FROM MY GALAXY WILL TRY TO INVADE EARTH WITHIN THE NEXT FEW YEARS. THE BLUE RAY WILL DEFEAT THEM. THEN ALL THE RAYS WILL SELF DESTRUCT TO PREVENT THE WEAPON FROM FALLING INTO THE WRONG HANDS. I continued for some time, answering their questions about my home planet and how I was able to help Donald. They were most interested in my motivation—why would I do all this? TO DO GOOD…TO HELP was my only answer.
We met with the other lawyer later that morning and Mr. and Mrs. Provano signed the necessary papers. He explained that Donald would have to appear before the judge to ensure that there was no collusion or coercion involved. Then Mr. Provano began the process of having Donald’s parents—their remains– returned home to northern Virginia.
The next week was the most difficult period of Donald’s young life. The hardest part was returning to his home, the place he had shared with his loving parents for years. He broke down several times, but Gina and I helped him through the ordeal. Mr. Provano made a cursory search of his parents’ papers, finding their will after about fifteen minutes. He also located their bank and investment records. Not surprisingly, Donald was the only heir. Both his mother and father had life insurance policies and there were more than $100,000 in investments. He also learned that Mr. and Mrs. Dugan had requested that their remains be cremated.
Gina’s dad took complete control of Donald’s finances. To his credit he never used even a single penny of the money to provide for Donald. All of Donald’s needs were covered by his own income. The house was sold and the proceeds were invested. All told Donald had inherited almost $300,000. A lawsuit was filed against the company that owned the truck that had killed Donald’s parents. The suit was settled for $500,000. When he graduated high school that sum had grown by more than thirty percent. He had more than enough for college and graduate school expenses, as well as funds to begin his adult life.
After missing four days of school Donald felt he had to return. “I really appreciate everything you’ve done, but all this sitting around is driving me crazy. I need to get back to work.” He and Gina returned to school on Monday morning. His friends tried to console him, but he brushed them off telling them he needed to move forward. Donald and I attacked his studies and his football as never before. Gina was with him every possible second to support him.
Donald’s love for Gina grew every day and when they became seniors he asked her to marry him. By then the couple had lived together for almost two years. She acted surprised which caused both of them to laugh hysterically. Then they looked into each other’s eyes and Gina spoke quietly, “Was there ever any doubt? I could never love anyone as I’ve loved you and will love you all my life.”
“Was that a ‘yes?’ I had a bit of trouble following you.” Their joking was back only seconds after one of the sweetest moments of their lives.
Gina smiled, “Since you’re a little slow today, I’ll spell it out for you…Y…E…S.” She reached up, wrapped her arms around his neck and drew him into a long passionate kiss. Their tongues searched for yet unexplored territory as they dueled in their passion and love. Gina broke the kiss after several minutes to announce, “This is the best present ever.” Donald kissed her again before they dressed and went down to breakfast. She could hardly wait to tell her parents, who Donald now referred to as “Mom” and “Dad,” however, they were not surprised.
“Donald asked my permission last night,” her dad informed her. “Of course I said ‘no.’” Gina scowled before everyone broke out laughing. Even I tried to laugh when Mr. P, as I now called him, asked for my opinion.
I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT GINA WAS MEANT FOR DONALD. I hesitated for a few seconds before continuing, I AM SORRY TO SPOIL SUCH A JOYOUS OCCASION, BUT DONALD AND I ARE NEEDED. The phone rang just as I finished. General Tobin had called to tell us that something big had been detected by the Hubbell telescope at the edge of the solar system…just past Neptune. At its current speed it was estimated that it would reach Earth in eight months. He believed it was the Gorkon armada and wanted me to confirm. I was well aware of their tactics—primarily surprise attacks at numerous locations on a planet. However, we had a bigger surprise for their armada. Donald ran upstairs for the tote bag he always kept packed for such an emergency. Ten minutes later four cars full of FBI agents arrived. Donald, Gina, and I were on our way to Washington.
